EE 142: Digital Systems

This course is intended as an introductory course in digital electronics. No prior knowledge of digital electronics is assumed. It focuses on analytical reasoning and basic digital design using the standard integrated circuits that are used in industry today. Basic notions of digital circuit analysis and synthesis are introduced. Combinatorial and sequential circuits are taught. Counter, register, shift register are discussed. State machine design is taught.
